Board Member
Interested in serving a two-year term on our Forest Council (the board of directors)? Requires ability to attend monthly meetings and serve on committees. Average of 1-2 hours per week time commitment, with more during special events and outings.

Communications
For folks who would like to share their skills in marketing, editing, newsletter writing, website development.

Community Events.
Help staff the Kentucky Heartwood table/booth at various community events. This may involve talking to folks, helping set up and take down the booth, and selling t-shirts.

Field Work.
Bushwhack with us! Fieldwork may include activities like measuring trees and cataloging plants and animals on iNaturalist. You must be comfortable hiking off trail in very rugged terrain with ability to hike up to 6 miles. Biology, ecology, environmental science, botany, or similar experience helpful.

Mailings.
Do you live close to our office in Berea? A couple times per year we need help stuffing and stamping envelopes.

Music Festivals and other special events.
Volunteer at our annual music festival held in Millville, KY. Various roles available, such as set up, ticket sales, flyer distribution, parking, and more!
